MIC and synergetic Assays

Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) assays determine the lowest concentration of an antimicrobial agent that prevents visible growth of a microorganism. The goal of synergy testing is to assess the in vitro interaction of antimicrobial combinations to determine whether the effect of the two antimicrobials is greater than the sum of their individual activities.

MTT assay

The MTT assay is used to measure cellular metabolic activity as an indicator of cell viability, proliferation and cytotoxicity. The MTT assay is a colorimetric assay for assessing cell metabolic activity
